Course Description

Designed for Chinese international students and students who have finished fourth-year Chinese language courses with an aim to enhance students' intercultural knowledge and intercultural communication skills. Authentic reading texts and video/movie clips in English and Chinese used as prompts for class discussions and course projects.Covers the stereotypes about the two countries and the two cultures, the history of Sino-US relations, the common challenges for both countries. Prerequisite: successful completion of at least one 400-level Chinese course or approval of instructor.
