Program Summary

The Department of Computer Science provides courses on the concepts of computing and computers, their capabilities, and their uses. In most courses, students make extensive use of the available computing facilities. Students who wish to take a single introductory course as part of their general education usually elect COMPSCI 94, 101, 102, or 116.

Academic Requirements

At least 5 units total to complete the minor. At least 34 units total to earn a degree.

    • Math: MATH 111L

    • Statistics: BIOLOGY 204, or MATH 112L, or MATH 122L, or any STA course 101 and above

  • Required Courses (2 units)

    • COMPSCI 201

    • COMPSCI 260

  • Computer Science Course (1 unit)
