Reimagining Public Education

Course Description

Interdisciplinary examination of issues confronting the US education system including historical, political, economic, philosophical, social, ethical, and cultural perspectives. Exploration of future trends and promising practices that compel a reimagining of the US public school system. Appropriate for students at any level (1st year - senior) and for students with an interest in the ways education intersects with their major course of study. Required participation in service-learning.
